What does someone charge to babysit a 4-month old baby 2-3 hours 5 or 6 days a week?
Q. I am not a teenager; I will already have my own 3 and 4 year olds with me at home while babysitting.
Asked by BooBoo - Fri Jun 13 19:46:12 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If you are already a stay at home mom and you are economically okay and just would like to help out and enjoy the extra cash then you should charge anywhere from 60 to 100 dollars a month. If the person is in finical hardship just take that into account. If you don't stay at home and it is an *added* item on your to do list and your family really needs the money you can charge 150 to 200. It all just depends on circumstances. I pay a close family member 500 dollars a month to watch my son 4 days a week for 6 hours and thats a *deal. Just to give you a little perspective.

No period for 4 weeks and 2-3 days? Really need HELPFUL advice please.?
Q. Last month my cycle was 27 days and now I an going in about 30-31 days(4weeks&2-3days) I am not stressed, no change in my diet or lifestyle. About 2 weeks ago I started getting some discomfort in lower stomach and stomach. Sick to my stomach at the sight of eggs about 3 days ago but nothing since. Is it to soon to take a pregnancy test? When should I take one? Does this sound like pregnancy? I know that no one can tell me for sure, all I am asking for is opinions and advice. Also I don't have insurance so going to the dr is not an option. So since my last cycle was 27 days and it has now been 30-31 that does mean I am late, right?

Missed period for 2.5-3 months now neverending period for about 1 month?
Q. I've been on my period for about 3-4 weeks with 1 day or so every now and then for up to 4 days. I missed my period for about 2.5-3 months previous. My birth control (the depo-provera shot) ran out in January but I hadn't had my period at all at the end where as the first time I had it I had my period for almost 2 weeks at the end of the three month duration of the first shot. I'm concerned and I have no money to get checked out by a doctor so if you could just give me any idea of what's going on, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks so much.

A. Scince your birth control has just ran out your body could be readjusting to it's natural state. Making up for lost time so to speak. your period may level out after awhile. but i am not a doctor and even though you have no money you should find a way to see a doctor.

weaning baby, 4 half month old 19 weeks 4 days?
Q. im currently wondering whether i should start weaning my baby, hes 4 and half month, 19 weeks 4 days, he weighs double his birth weight, is waking 3-4 times during the night (although he had only been sleeping good for a few week) stares at you while you eat, can sit up with minimal support, always trying to stand up too when you hold him. always puttin hands in his mouth. its like his sleep and eating patterns have gone out of the window, i used to feed him every 2 hours (breastfeeding) now he will feed just half an hour after his milk feed. because hes feeding more in the day hes also pooing during the night. If any 1 could give me advice. thanks yeah i was thinking of trying him with a spoonfull of baby rice mixed with my milk.

A. Hi, I am a GP and Mummy to Ben. My answer is based on my own personal experience. I weaned my little boy at 18 weeks, I know, I know, the current guidance is 6 months but not one GP colleague I spoke to agreed with this. Some babies can wait until they are 6 months but these are few and far between. I think he is giving you all the right signals - waking up more through the night after previously been in a good sleep-through pattern, putting his hands to his mouth, and he seems to be supporting himself adequately to support swallowing more solid foods. I suggest you try a mealtime that is more relaxed for you and baby (ie: not one that he is screaming for-make sure you are both relaxed). Start with baby rice-add some of his usual milk… [cont.]

I started 12/3, the company wrote checks 12/7, I won't be paid till 1/4. Will i get paid 2, 3 or 4 weeks?
Q. I started a new job and was told they hold a pay period behind. It is a salary position paid bi-weekly. The comtroller is out 'sick' (she's having babies this week) and no one here can seem to answer my questions. I'm pretty naive when it comes to what amount of money I will be getting on my first paycheck. I assumed I'd get one two weeks ago, now I find out it'll be the 4th and while rent will be three days late I am trying to budget for the rest of the month. Any and all information would be helpful. Lord knows I should have paid attention in an econ class.

A. You stated they hold pay two weeks before giving it to you. That means you worked two weeks before they could have paid you. There may also be a probationary clause that states when you will get paid the first time. I cannot answer that without more information. You may get paid 4 January like the company said, but it would only be for the first 4 days. If not, it will be two weeks after that and include whatever pay you earned the first 18 days.

HCG Level went up 800% in 3 days?
Q. My first Hcg at 4 weeks 3 days was 28 and then 863 at 4 weeks 6 days. Does this seem normal? I just had a miscarriage last month at 5 weeks 2 days and was shocked to be pregnant again already. I know it is suppose to double every 2-3 days so I was surprised to see it go up so much. Should I be concerned or just thrilled that this one is sticking? My first ultrasound isn't for 3 weeks. Just want to thank you all for your responses. It makes me feel much better to hear others say that things sound good. I will remain cautiously optimistic!

A. The new reccommendation is 6 months but some doctors give the okay at 4 months. It is up to you when you want to start. You don't have to start just because your doctor said you can. You would first start with rice cearl, then move onto oatmeal, barley, and lastly mixed grain. Then start your baby on stage 1 veggies and work you way through one at a time for at least 3 days to see if he has any allergies. The stage 1 fruits. Stage 2 can be started right after you have finished all of stage 1 since it doesn't have any chunks it is just bigger and more of a variety. Stage 3 should wait until about 7 months.

Why did my 4 month old yorkie poop in his crate today? We have been crate training him for 3 1/2 weeks...?
Q. We've had our baby yorkie for 3 1/2 weeks now and have been crate training him since day 1. He pooped once in his crate in the car on his way from the breeder's, but hasn't done it ever since. He still occassionally pees in his crate if we leave him for too long, but in the past month, he has never pooped in the crate. I came home today to find poop, not pee, (a small amount of poop) smeared all over the front of the crate, his blankie, his toys...The puppy himself was relatively clean compared to the mess in the crate, but I am totally perplexed! Why would he poop today after so many weeks of successful poops outside?? He pooped this morning at 7:30 am, and he was crated at 10am. He usually poops once in the am, and waits until I… [cont.]

A. One he had to go. He is a living breathing animal and regardless if you lock him up in a crate all day he may still need to relieve himself. Next if you go to work and leave the dog locked up all day I would poop too. Why get an animal so you can lock them in a cage all day? Will you do the same thing with children? Don't have a dog unless you are home to take care of it. The crated dog generation is total BS.

Is it alright for my 4 month old to nap 3-4 times a day for only 30-40 minutes at a time?
Q. My almost four month old son (who was 4 weeks early) goes to bed anywhere between 7:00 and 7:30pm. He wakes every three to four hours to nurse (which is absolutely wonderful since he was on a 1 1/2 hr. schedule for the first three months, he's tripled his birth weight!) Although he wakes to feed, he never opens his eyes. Thank goodness for me, I've never had to try to put him back to sleep in the middle of the night. He will sleep for 12 hours (not counting his 2-3 wakings for feeding). Exactly two hours after waking in the morning, he's rubbing his eyes and ready for a nap. I put him down in his crib, turn on his lullaby bear and he falls asleep. The thing is, he wakes up 30-40 minutes later everytime! He'll nap at around Noon again, [cont.]

A. My 5month old boy (who was nearly 3weeks early) sleeps about that and he is healthy and alert, rolls over but only one way and doesn't show inclination towards crawling anytime near, but he also hates tummy time so that's probably why, I give him half hour a day he's behind due to that, so being late on milestones isn't a big deal, plus each baby is different. He sleeps 11pm-6am waking to eat at 2am, 4am, and 5am, then he naps at 8:30am for about 40minutes, then at 2pm for about 20minutes and at 7pm for an hour. And he was the same 1.5hr eating for the first 3months- I couldn't do anything during the day! He is just getting close to tripling his birth weight though- born at 7lbs8oz and now is 20lbs10oz. Don't worry though if he is happy he… [cont.]

Exactly two hours after waking in the morning, he's rubbing his eyes and ready for a nap. baby formula for a 4 month and 3 week old baby?
Q. I use s26 LF for lactose Intolerance babies, it says for babies up to 2 weeks - 60mls (2oz) 2 weeks - 2 Months - 120mls ( 4 oz) 2-4 months - 180mls ( 6 oz) 4-6 Months - 240mls (8oz) 6-12 Months - 240 ml (8oz) 2-3 solids feeds per day 12-24 months - 180ml (6oz) 3+ solid feeds per day I just wanna know what type of bottle do i fill up for a 4 months and 3 week old baby... If i give him a 240ml (8oz) he just drinks a little bit but if i give him a 180ml bottle (6oz) he drink the lot, i feel like he is not drinking enough , has anyone ever throw away any left over milk in the bottle that baby does not drink.. i am a worried mum he weights 7.3kg at his age,,,

Is it coincidence that the two latest movies about pregnancy(Juno & 4 Months...) both feature orange Tic Tacs?
Q. I probably wouldn't have noticed, but I watched one movie (Juno) after the other (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days) and was surprised to see this candy featured in both films (not only that, but in both films, the candies are given as gifts from good-hearted males to struggling young females). Perhaps it's a nod from one writer/director to the other? (And if so, which writer/director is nodding to which?) That would make sense, given that both writer/directors seem to have a lot of compassion for young females struggling with unplanned pregnancies. Bonus question: Is there any particular symbolism (perhaps in Romanian or ancient Greek culture) in the fact that the Tic Tacs are *orange* (I've read that in The Sopranos and The Godfather,… [cont.]

A. "I dated a guy in high school that loved orange Tic-Tacs and always had them on hand," the 29-year-old screenwriter explained of Cera's character's addiction, which yields one of the film's sweetest moments. "And I think they're kinda tasty myself." "Unless, you know, pregnant women crave orange Tic Tacs, I don t have any other explanation." Cristian Mungiu, Director of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days
